Aims and objectives
To study and create a digital catalogue and needs assessment for the manuscripts from the Sayyid Bahr al-Ulum Library in Najaf, Iraq. In the future, we will be able to formulate a project plan to digitise and preserve the content of the Library. The project team will compile a survey of the content of the manuscripts, including the title, author, a brief summary of what subject areas they fall under and which fields of research they could be beneficial for. Some manuscripts contain a number of documents and texts; therefore, this will also be indicated and explained in the catalogue.
